    GNARLIEST AK I OWN

Published by Danny Jacobo on 06/08/2022 04:06:36

I bought this AK mainly because of the looks but when I got it in my hands, it was as if it had been created by God. Perfect weight and balance. Easy to shoot and extremely ergonomic! It's my most favorite AK. Highly recommended to all my AK operators out there!

    Pestilence

Yep, worth the wait. Out back to zero today, shot 100m groups that would have made any rifle proud, but truly impressive from an AK (1.2 inch 5 shot group, cold barrel, 2 inch 10 shot group, hot, both with iron sights off of a sandbag lying in the driveway). The adjustable gas system is a must have--once tuned, it put all the brass (uh, steel, wolf basic ammo--makes the accuracy all that more impressive) in about a 2 foot area 5 feet away. 10 more clicks and it's ready for, um, increased back pressure? Nice barrel, and bonus, concentric threads are obviously present beneath the pinned and welded hider. Fit and finish is excellent. Sights are almost too tight for zeroing. Well done, Meridian, this is a champ of a rifle. I recommend the upgraded trigger and gas system, if you are pulling the trigger on one of these (heh, see what I did there?).

    The beautiful pestilence rifle

Published by Jason Crowell on 05/24/2022 03:05:53

I have waited to submit a review about this rifle until I've had a thorough amount of time with it. I've put 500 or so rounds through it and can still say that I'm unbelievably impressed with the quality put into the rifle. I've seen other people have home built and WASR ak's at the range and the quality alone puts those to shame. Not to shame those people. The rifle is just that nice. On top of looks the pestilence is a great shooting rifle. At 100 yards the rifle holds an impressive zero. I only shoot off hand and still held under 1 inch groups. TLDR: the rifle is worth the money and the wait.

    Outstanding rifle

It took almost 16 months but definitely worth the wait. Just as smooth as my rifle dynamics but looks a lot cooler!! As far as reliability can’t say for sure but I have no doubt it will outlast me. Great job guys!!!

    Pestilence

I purchased this firearm over a year ago. And I just received it this week. It was well worth the wait. It’s gorgeous. It is a work of art. Covid slowed down the process of getting this firearm sooner. But the staff kept me in the loop where they were in the process along the way. Hopefully the market slows down a bit because I absolutely want to purchase another. If you like old AKs with just a splash of some modern touches this is it. The fit and finish is absolutely awesome. They crushed it.

    Awesome

    Published by Wes C. on 05/16/2022 06:05:38

I just received my pestilence a few days ago. I have not shot it yet but will give my honest feedback from just handling it. The rifle fit and finish is superb. I think the classic with some modern look feels very solid and not a slapped together rattling AKM. I would eventually love to have a LDP but I really don’t want to wait 499 days again. If you’re looking to buy your first AKM , then I think your better off going with this than getting something like A SLR107 ( which QC has sucked on a lot of Arsenals). My overall complaint would be that I communicated to MD through about installing a Krebs safety and that somehow got left out. Not a deal breaker to me. Factory works fine. Only gave four stars because I have yet to put any rounds through it. If you’re on the fence and these come available again, I wouldn’t hesitate. Get it and be glad you did. MDC: Wes, Im sorry about the miscommunication we will get the Krebs Safety out to you ASAP!

    Meridian Defense Pestilence

Published by Charles on 05/11/2022 03:05:15

Rifle looks great. Only think i wish they did was do the battle worn finish like in all the pictures provided. The ultimak has the finish and the top cover is slightly “battle worn” but the majority of the rifle doesn't have the battle worn look i expected. After waiting 61 weeks It is what it is. Just would be cool for them to provide the finish pictured. MDC: Charles, Im sorry you are not satisfied with the finish. They are all hand done & unique. Not all rifles are finished the same. If you would like a more of a distressed look please send it back in & we will take care of it.

Waited little over 12 months. When I first seen the rifle I was impressed. Fit and finish, reciver, rivets attention to detail even the polishing of the hammer nice touch. Shooting the rifle is excellent, recommend KS adjustable gas piston. Tuning th
