For years people have been trying to figure out ways to adapt the M4 buffer tube to the AK platform. Unfortunately most used cheap inexpensive ways to adapt to the stock trunnion. We decided the only correct way to do this was to recreate it!
The MDC BTA was inspired by a group of military contractors who requested a solid M4 style stock adapter for the AK platform, that wasn’t a typical bolt on part, and that could perform in a abusive environment.
The new BTA trunnions are a solid M4 style stock adapter for the AK platform, it is a complete replacement of a rear trunnion made to fit standard AKM receivers.
- Made out of 4140
- Heat treated to RC 40
- Black Nitride finish
- Uses 3 standard long AKM rivets
- The top two trunnion holes are based of the standard AK dimensions
- Accepts A2 & M4 Milspec buffer tube, castle nut, retaining plates.
