THIS IS THE FIRST OF FOUR MODELS BASED ON OUR LIMITED EDITION FOUR HORSEMAN OF THE APOCALYPSE SERIES. THE MDC-47 "PESTILENCE" IS BUILT WITH AN ORIGINAL ROMANIAN MILITARY PARTS KIT WHICH IS RIVETED INTO OUR 1MM FULLY HEAT TREATED MDC-47 STAMPED RECEIVER. WE USE OUR AMERICAN MADE 4150 CMV BLACK NITRIDED BARRELS WHICH PROVIDE GREAT ACCURACY AND LONGEVITY. THE FRONT END OF THE RIFLE HOSTS OUR PRECISION MACHINED AK (FSB) FRONT SIGHT BASE WITH AN INTEGRATED GAS BLOCK AND OUR BD3-AK IS A 3-PORT COMPENSATOR/MUZZLE BRAKE HYBRID THAT IS PINNED AND WELDED TO 16.1"OVERALL LENGTH. THE WOOD FURNITURE HAS BEEN COMPLETELY STRIPPED AND REFINISHED IN OUR "APOCALYPSE" STYLE STAIN. THE ENTIRE RIFLE WAS COMPLETELY REFINISHED PRIOR TO OUR HAND DONE BATTLEWORN FINISH.

As I placed my deposit on Oct of 2021 I knew the wait was going to be at least a year. Actual wait time was 16 months. But I couldn’t be happier. The build quality is top tier. The FFL I had it shipped to was also very impressed. They had never a custom build of the quality of Meridian Defense. The gun shoots just as well. At this time I on have 100 rounds through it. I’ve only had the gun a week. But it shoots great and shoots Tula, Red Army and brass case ammo. I’m ready to put in another deposit for a 74 if they had a pre order. C’mon MD let’s do it!

The fit and finish is beautiful and the wood furniture has amazing character, it cycles smoothly and the battle worn finish looks great but that is where I have a problem, the finish rusts easily and I'm contemplating sacrificing the battle worn finish for a more resilient cerakote.

I cannot say enough good things about this rifle. Easily one of the most beautiful rifles I have ever seen, it just looks beyond beautiful, functionally, it shoots smooth and handles amazing, the action runs clean it feels great when you hold it, it cycles perfectly. Only drawback on this particular rifle is the song does get in the way with magpul mags for fast magazine change but steel mags as well As some shorter polymer mags work flawlessly. I just love this AK, waited over a year for it and it was well worth it.
