THIS IS THE THIRD OF FOUR MODELS BASED ON OUR LIMITED EDITION FOUR HORSEMAN OF THE APOCALYPSE SERIES! THE MDC-47 "FAMINE" IS A CQB-STYLE BUILT PISTOL. MADE WITH OUR US-MADE FULLY MACHINED PARTS. IT IS RIVETED INTO OUR 1MM FULLY HEAT-TREATED MDC-47 STAMPED RECEIVER. WE USE OUR AMERICAN-MADE 10.5 INCH 4150 CHF CHROME-LINED BARREL WHICH PROVIDES GREAT ACCURACY AND LONGEVITY. THE FRONT END OF THE PISTOL HOSTS OUR MODERNIZED VERSION OF A RUSSIAN-MADE AK 104/105 24MM FRONT SIGHT COMBO BLOCK, WITH A US-MADE 4-PIECE FLASH HIDER. This pistol is the highest quality AK I have ever laid my hands on. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is second to none. The bolt cycles as smooth as any high end AR and the trigger breaks like a 1911 which I didn’t think was possible. BZ to the darkside wizards at MDC.

Great quality work done on this AK. I've owned multiple high end AKs, and this is my first one from Meridian Defense. Fit and finish is perfect and a lot of care went into the build. Excellent communication from staff the entire way through. Will most likely buy more once new builds are available.

Attention to detail and responsive

This is my second purchase from Meridian Defense and I was more excited about this one than my first although both were bought pretty much at the same time. Customer support was phenomenal with this build because I changed it a few times during the wait time and Meridian was responsive with every email. The finish product is nothing short from fantastic and spectacular. I am truly beyond pleased with the product they sent to me. Waiting on rifle #3 as we speak.

Amazing Build - Worth Every Penny

I purchased this rifle back in late April of last year. When I ordered it, I had asked for a lot of custom stuff done to the gun and I’m sure I was a pain in their ass. I asked for the addition of a zenitco rail system, a zenitco dust cover/rail that I had shipped to them for them to put on, and had asked for some other stuff as well. I received the rifle last month and I have put a couple hundred rounds through it so far. And wow, what an amazing rifle (technically pistol, thanks ATF for your arbitrary and stupid laws) it is. It shoots like a dream, very little recoil for 7.62x39 and it is such a fun weapon to use. I shot everything from 5 m to 200 m with iron sights and was consistently hitting at a 200 m chest sized target WITH IRONS. I plan on putting an Eotech EXPS3 on it, but thats another thing. Overall, this rifle shoots incredibly and was worth every single penny and every day of waiting. Meridian’s customer service along the way was excellent and I give a huge shoutout to their team answering questions and getting things done. While there is a wait period when buying, the quality, customer service, and fun you’ll have is absolutely worth it for a quality US built AK. Meridian Defense are one of the few shops here in the US that do it the right way with amazing quality. Keep up the great work guys, and if you’re reading this and thinking about buying it: DO IT.
