MDC-47 “PESTILENCE” – NEXT GENERATION. THE FIRST OF FOUR MODELS IN OUR LIMITED “FOUR HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE” SERIES. Building on the legacy of our original “Pestilence” rifle, this next-generation model incorporates our all-new U.S.-made MDC 100 Series components and enhanced features for improved performance and craftsmanship.

- Precision-Built Components: The original Romanian military surplus parts kit has been replaced with our precision-built MDC 100 Series parts, machined in-house for tighter tolerances and superior durability.
- Upgraded Barrel: We’ve upgraded the barrel to our Cold Hammer Forged (CHF), chrome-lined 4150 CMV barrel, providing exceptional accuracy, heat resistance, and barrel life—replacing the former black nitrided option.
- Adjustable Gas System: The gas system now features our fully adjustable gas block, allowing you to fine-tune your rifle for suppressed or unsuppressed use.
- Classic Aesthetic with Modern Upgrades: The classic aesthetic remains with our hand-refinished “Apocalypse” wood furniture, battleworn finish, and iconic MDC engraving—but under the hood, it’s a whole new beast.
- Enhanced Performance: Chambered in 7.62x39 with U.S.-made internals, it delivers superior reliability, accuracy, and versatility in demanding conditions.

Receiver
MDC-47 100 series fully heat-treated stamped receiver, providing a robust and reliable foundation with tighter tolerances for improved performance.
Barrel
U.S.-made CHF chrome-lined 4150 CMV barrel (14.5" pinned to 16" OAL), engineered for exceptional accuracy, heat resistance, and extended barrel life.

APOCALYPSE SERIES "PESTILENCE" RIFLE
Apocalypse finish and quality look great, I wanted that distressed look with a quality rifle. Roughly 100 rounds in so far. Took a bit to get sighted in, had to move the front post quite a bit, which was disappointing. Other than that, shoots soft and flat. Wait time was 14 months, hindsight - I probably wouldn't have ordered if I knew it would take that long. But I am certainly glad I have it in the AK collection. Waiting on my new 7.62 suppressor to see how that runs, hopefully no issues there. Marked it down 1 star just for the length in build time (website had 6 months when I ordered).

It really was worth the wait. I couldn't be happier with it. The feel of the smooth action the look and that trigger. I can't say enough about it they really did a great job with it.

Great quality if you have the patience to wait on it get it. I waited 14 months to get mine mailed to me.
Good quality rifles but they do take to long to ship if they are special series.

I was hoping for a more battle war and finish like I have seen in the pictures on Instagram but overall still a good rifle I was just hoping for a better finish

Despite taking over a year to receive, this gun beats all my expectations. The polished ALG trigger is awesome and the gun is really accurate. Build quality is amazing and the thing just looks dope. Would definitely recommend picking one up, well worth the wait imo.

Took a year to get, but that's what quality takes. I have used this rifle in extensive AK courses and used it as a training tool for a lot of my students to demonstrate how the AK platform can become a balance of tradition and modern. Whole thing runs like a sewing machine. If you are looking for a solid quality not too expensive medium level AK I can not recommend this rifle enough.
