Building on the legacy of our original “Pestilence” rifle, this next-generation model incorporates our all-new U.S.-made MDC 100 Series components and enhanced features for improved performance and craftsmanship.

Receiver

MDC-47 100 series fully heat-treated stamped receiver, providing a robust and reliable foundation with tighter tolerances for improved performance.

Barrel

U.S.-made CHF chrome-lined 4150 CMV barrel (14.5" pinned to 16" OAL), engineered for exceptional accuracy, heat resistance, and extended barrel life.

Gas System

    Easily the best quality rifle I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning. Super flat shooting, I’ve put about 2500 rounds through mine so far without a hiccup. I can’t get enough of this thing.

    I, finally, had an opportunity to shoot this rifle and wanted to wait until I did before I submitted a review. By far one of the best shooting AK platforms I have every fired. I currently have 3 other AK platforms and this one is the flattest shooting AK's I have ever shot. Like less recoil than an AR... Not kidding. Meridian, whats your secret? Runs great and ate all of ammo I threw at it. Meridian Defense does such an excellent job on building these rifles.

    I own and have owned several AK variants from milled and stamped Arsenals, Saigas, VEPRs, Yugos, WASRs. This is by far the nicest AK I have owned. The quality is fantastic. The gun is accurate and reliable. I have had no malfunctions, however I have only ran Golden Tiger through it so far. I am confident it would eat anything though. The shorter barrel makes this rifle compact and lightweight. The brake essentially eliminates muzzle rise. The enhanced ALG trigger that came with mine is the best trigger I have used on an AK variant. The rifle is beautiful. My wife who thinks all my rifles look the same tried to claim this one for herself. I would highly recommend this rifle. If you are on the fence due to price, you get what you pay for. What you are getting is the pinnacle of what the AK can be.

    Amazing rifle! Fit and finish was perfect. The action was super smooth and shooting suppressed was very enjoyable. I think I will be owning every firearm in this series! Meridian Defense had great communication throughout the process! Do not hesitate to get this rifle!

    I like the idea of the series so I purchased it to see if I would like Meridian's work. Well, the fit and finish was beyond my expectations. The AK seems to be put together beautifully. No details were overlooked on the finish. I added the KNS piston and I cannot wait to take it out for a spin. I will be ordering War soon!
