The AK 47 was designed with the most severe conditions in mind based of lessons learned from World War 2. The biggest advantage of the AK platform is the reliability and durability. There has always been a common misconception that an AK is an inaccurate rifle but this an urban legend that originated with people who have never been properly trained to use one, and the cheap, poorly manufactured firearms that have come into the states from overseas. 

MDC 47 "Classic" is based of the Iconic AK 47. The MDC 47 is a military variation rifle that is hand crafted to exceed the requirements of original military grade AKs produced for hard use. The MDC-47 "Classic" is built on our own receivers and high quality original military grade parts kits. We use use our american made 4150 CMV black nitrided barrels which provide great accuracy and longevity. The gun is finished in Black nitride which provides excellent corrosion resistance and increased service life. 
If you’re looking for a high quality classic AK-47 variant, this is your rifle. The MDC-47 is compatible with standard 30 round and 20 round 7.62×39 magazines and is covered by lifetime warranty. 
 

    • Each receiver is hand built with attention to detail using CNC machines to insure accuracy. The receiver is fully heat treated in a salt bath to a hardness of 40 HRC. Our receivers have the proper Safe & Fire markings as well as the Selector Notches. Receivers are tumbled for smooth carrier cycling and function
    • Built with original military grade parts. 
    • All crucial components thoroughly inspected and measured for proper tolerances. 
    • Barrels are 4150 CMV with Nitride finish for a lifetime of hard use. 
    • Properly head spaced with Go-Gauge, No-Go-Gauge, Field-Gauge, and live cartridges for reliable use. 
    • 14x1L threaded barrel and plunger equipped front sight block allows for use of standard 14x1L devices on this AK. 
    • Front Sight Block and Gas Block trued to the action and aligned with the bore. 
    • Side rail for use of standard AK side mounted optics.(Not shown in image)
    • Tunned TAPCO G2 Trigger
    • Classic Wood Furniture. (Wood color may vary, if there is a specific color or look you want, please contact us) 
    • Checked for function with an assortment of standard AK magazines, Magpul, US palm, Circle 10, Polish, Yugo, & Russian Magazines
    • All components are refinished in an original matte military Black finish.

    This firearm’s quality is exactly what you'd expect from meridian defense. The wood furniture turns heads at the range and is beautiful crafted. Im incredibly happy with the performance and functionality of it. A standard basic AK but all the parts act smooth like butter. I highly suggest the small priced upgrade to the ALG trigger. I 100% will be buying another AK when the time comes from these guys. Possibly a VOLK. This was 100% worth the wait. Packaging was top notch. Came with 5+ patches and stickers. And two mags. Look forward to working with them again. 10/10.

    I am happy with my purchase. I haven’t taken it to the range but I was able to compare this gun to another AK in my collection and the quality is much better. I am planning to purchase another MDC AK in the near future.

    I received this rifle within a reasonable margin of it's expected completion. I cannot begin to express how impressed I am with this product. The wood is beautifully done, the action is smooth and the trigger is money. Upon inspection, you can easily see that MDC meticulously crafts each rifle. Everybody at the FFL came over to watch me open the box and the jealousy was tangible. I can't wait to get it on the range.

    Fit and finish impeccable, rivets crushed perfectly. Gorgeous gun that I can't wait to take out. Very satisfied so far.
